Internships for High School and College Students Offer Invaluable Experiences
A Museum internship creates a pathway towards a career in education, STEM, early childhood development, and many other opportunities. An internships at the Westchester Children’s Museum is a unique opportunity to work in a setting that is a hub of learning and activity for our region. As an Intern, you will have a hands-on roll in the day to day activities of the Museum and get a practical, real life view of the theories, practices, and topics you may be exploring in your curriculum and classwork.
Internships for High School Students
A not-for-credit internship for high school students provides hands-on museum experience and a well rounded introduction to working in a collaborative and community oriented environment. Students will gain skills in museum facilitation, public speaking, teamwork, and community engagement. Must guarantee up to ten hours per week. Internships for College Students
The college student internship is geared to students with a museum, education, or STEM background. This internship offers credit for college students aimed at enhancing skills gained in their major. College interns will be responsible for individualized tasks within the education and experience departments, as well as gaining a comprehensive overview of museum operations and programming.
