Aurora Over The Silk Road

A family-friendly interactive workshop that allows you to explore the cultural diversity of the Silk Road as you embark on a journey full of fun crafts, captivating performances, and sensational sensory experiences.

Laugh and learn during a puppet show featuring lovable mascots, Gul (the little girl), Koy (the sheep) and Toge (the camel), as they put aside their differences to explore the vast history of Xinjiang, China - the heart of the Silk Road. The performance aspect of the workshop features a set of dances from different ethnic groups in Xinjiang including Uzbek, Kazak, Tajik, and Uygur and a musical performance with the Dumbek, a Middle Eastern drum.

At the art stations, make beautiful crafts that you can take home and discover your inner scientist as you touch and learn about different types of wool and pet the live silkworms.

At the dance station, learn the expressive dances of Xinjiang, and let the drummer in you free at the percussion station.
