A Poetry and Art Workshop

Join us for a creative writing and art workshop in celebration of the Museum’s new art exhibit “Our Art Belongs,” featuring work by artists from the Institute of Applied Human Dynamics (IAHD), a mental health services program in Tarrytown, NY. Children will be guided by our special guests poet Robert Miss and Creative Arts Coordinator at IAHD Jonny Mattei as they write messages to the artists, create poetry together and then make their own mixed media art projects.

The “Our Art Belongs” exhibit is on view in the Lavan Gallery through now thru February 19, 2022.

Children will be guided to write a post-it note to the artists of the exhibit and then as a group create a light-hearted poem. This will be followed by fun session of creating art with mixed media.
