Flying Paper

  • Museum Address 100 Playland Parkway Rye, NY, 10580 (map)

Get ready to take flight with Doc Harmon!

Did you know the first animal to fly (a pterodactyl) lived over 200 million years ago? We have tried unsuccessfully to imitate that feat for thousands of years.  Now, we “fly” by surrounding ourselves with aluminum cans fitted with wings and engines. In this workshop we’ll construct some simply amazing paper airplane models and learn some interesting facts about the science of flight!
